How to check an IPO bid on NSE
NSE shows whether your bid was accepted while the issue is open, and it can show allotment after the basis is finalised. The registrar is still the better page for the final allotted or not-allotted answer. NSE is worth using when a broker app is vague, or when you applied on one exchange and want to confirm the bid landed.
Have these ready
- The IPO symbol
- Your application number
Steps
- 01Start from NSE's IPO market-data page rather than a bookmarked login from a previous year. NSE retires old paths.
- 02Open the bid or application status tool linked from that IPO section.
- 03Choose the symbol and enter the application number. PAN alone is often not enough on the exchange page.
- 04If the bid does not appear, check BSE as well. Applicants sometimes land on the other exchange. Exchange bid status stays visible for a limited number of days after the issue closes.
After you have an answer
- A successful bid is not an allotment. Allotment is a later step, decided by the registrar when the category is oversubscribed.
- NSE does not publish grey-market premiums. A GMP number is never an NSE price.
